Welcome to Legacy Preschool – Van Texas Daycare and Preschool
We are a Van,Texas daycare and preschool, providing childcare for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. We work to provide them with learning skills they will use for years to come. Our professionally trained, experienced staff enjoys working with children, and they know what it takes to encourage young children to reach their full potential in areas of growth and development.
At Legacy, we offer a variety of lesson plans and hands-on activities designed specifically for each age. Our mission is to provide a safe and loving childcare environment that will promote the physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth of the children in our care. We believe in Active Learning. Active learning is a way for children to develop vital skills and knowledge and a positive attitude to learning. We run, play, explore, and discover with your child as they learn the benefits of being healthy and happy.
A sample of our activities for Infants to 12 months includes Socialization skills,Work on gross & fine motor skills, Potty training, Music, Story time, and Outside time. Lunch and healthy snacks are provided. We utilize thematic curriculum based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands on activities that address all of a child’s needs. With a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities, we use weekly themes to introduce information.
Our teachers are certified in CPR and are required to have 24 continuing education hours. We welcome conversations between parents and teachers any time, daily, weekly or monthly.
Legacy Preschool is owned, directed and has been a lifelong dream of by Tressia Moseley. After working in childcare for many years the dream became reality thanks to her mother in law LaJuan. She left a Legacy that we at Legacy Preschool will carry on.
